The advanced home consultation is for cases that need more than a general visit: feeding difficulty that has persisted despite trying, recurring pain while nursing, worry about your baby's weight, or a maternal health situation that needs specialist assessment and a clear plan.
It is delivered by a specialist midwife and lactation consultant over 90 minutes in your home, and includes assessment of mother and baby and breastfeeding assessment and support — plus a care and follow-up plan where one is needed, which is what sets it apart from the standard home visit.
